When we went to The Capitol Theatre in Horsham we had to think about the following as we didn't know what resources where available for us to use -
Staging and space- how we are going to transport all of the staging and big props Nd how much space they where going to take up and if there was going to be enough space to perform all of the jumps and leaps safely.
Sound, lighting and mic's- in the middle of Act 2 the gang perform a rap which ideally needs to be said into a microphone as it is accompanied by drums, without it it they wouldn't be heard and they wouldn't be able to stay in time with each other. Max and Kim managed the sound and lighting I thought it looked really good in Act 3 where all the main dancing happens, it made the piece look really effective.
The Performance
I thought the show went really well, I felt very convenient with my character and her accent. The main thing I thought helped this was that I didn't rush my lines and had done a lot of practise with the accent outside of rehearsals, this gave me the confidence that need to pull it off on stage. After I had performed as 'Tinkerbelle' I had quick change beside stage and unfortunately I didn't manage to put both shoes on so had to walk on stage with one shoe and sit down and put the other one on, I went to the back so it wouldn't be to noticeable but next time to prevent this I with practise my changes more so that I am confident that I can do them. I think I projected well and that all the words spoken where understandable. The audience found some of my line funny which made it hard to keep a straight face so I had to add in some fake laughter to cover it up!
Being on stage with the gang was so good there was a lot of energy and this created an exciting atmosphere to be in, I think that it was the best we had ever done because everyone remembered lines, cues and movements which made the whole performance come together.
For the final Act I had to change back into my Tinkerbelle costume and perform poi I was worried that I would hit something or another performer so I did stop early and dance with the gang.
